IFAS-Research and the Alliance Française of Durban are pleased to invite you to a roundtable and photo exhibition aimed at revisiting the coastline of Durban through different lenses:
- Anthropology with Sophie Chevalier, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens (France), visiting researcher at IFAS-Research this year, and head of the research centre “Habiter le monde”;
- Photography with Paulo Menezes, documentary photographer based in Durban and co-founder of Contemporary Archive Project;
- Economic development with Nomalanga Sokhela, Programme Manager at eThekwini Municipality, responsible for maritime industry development and regional coastal management;
- Architecture with Roanne Oberholzer, architect at Lead Architects, specialising in schools and the design of learning environments, and researcher and lecturer at UKZN.
