It’s not just a gig. It’s a movement. A memory in the making.
Join us at The Chairman for a high-voltage sonic experience with international electronic sensation French 79 – live in Durban for one night only.
Following the release of his critically acclaimed album TEENAGERS and a whirlwind global tour, Simon Henner, aka French 79, lands in Durban to bring his genre-blurring, pulse-raising DJ set to the iconic Chairman stage.
Expect an electrifying night of sound and synth, with Henner’s signature blend of French Touch, electro-pop, ambient techno, and nostalgic textures. From festival stages across the world to intimate sets in historic venues, his shows are immersive, euphoric, and unforgettable.
With smash tracks like “Diamond Veins,” “Hometown,” “Between the Buttons” and fresh drops from TEENAGERS, French 79 offers a rare fusion of emotion and motion—blurring the lines between dance floor and dreamscape. Inspired by the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Air, Daft Punk, and shaped by his work in cinematic scoring, Henner brings a sound that is both expansive and deeply personal – anchored in memory, adolescence, and imagination.
