Join us for a unique evening blending literature and music:

Author Kidi Bebey & poet Deborah Ewing perform excerpts from “My Kingdom for a Guitar” set to the groundbreaking sounds of Francis Bebey (1929-2001), the founding father of African electronic music.
The story weaves Cameroonian roots, Parisian exile, African Independence Movements, and the birth of a musical revolution. After the performance: an intimate Q&A on uprooting, origins, and finding voice through words and sound, with selected poetry reading from her collections byDeborah Ewing.
