The Alliance Française network in Southern Africa, supported by the Alsace Association in Cape Town and the Embassy of France in South Africa, Lesotho, and Malawi, inviteMichelin-starred Chef Michel Husser to the region in March 2026 in the framework of Francophonie month celebrations. Chef Husser will be in Durban for a 24-hour visit onMonday, 30 March 2026 to offer a masterclass to a selected group of Food & Beverage and Hospitality students.

Following the hands-on cooking session, a degustation will allow participants to experience the dish prepared in collaboration with the chef.

Alliance Française will organize a preparatory workshop with the participants and the French-language students from DUT, including the screening of the French film Sugar and stars (A la belle étoile, 2023) by Sébastien Tulard, a discussion and an introduction to French for cuisine.
